Reichert Announces Trade Subcommittee Hearing on Expanding U.S. Digital Trade and Eliminating Barriers to U.S. Digital Exports

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee Chairman Dave Reichert (R-WA) today announced that the Subcommittee will hold a hearing entitled, “Expanding U.S. Digital Trade and Eliminating Barriers to U.S. Digital Exports” on Wednesday, July 13, at 10:00 AM in room 1100 of the Longworth House Office Building. The hearing will highlight how high-standard and ambitious digital trade provisions in U.S. trade agreements can, if thoroughly implemented and fully enforced, open markets to U.S. exports and benefit U.S. businesses of all sizes that rely on digital trade.

Upon announcing the hearing, Chairman Reichert said:

“Innovative businesses of all sizes make the United States the world’s largest digital exporter. In order for America to remain the leader in this field, we must continue to knock down barriers imposed by other countries on our digital exports.
