Donald Trump’s campaign rhetoric focused to a large extent on disparaging China’s trade and currency practices. He has said that “China is responsible for nearly half of our entire trade deficit,” and if elected President, he would label the Asian powerhouse a “currency manipulator” and impose tariffs up to 45% on imports from China.Now that Trump is the President-Elect, how far can he go in making good on these promises within political and legal constraints?
