Founder
Thompson & Associates, PLLC
My firm represents domestic, foreign, and importing interests in trade remedy cases before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the International Trade Commission, as well as in judicial appeals of administrative determinations. I have assisted numerous importers and exporters in evaluating scope coverage of antidumping and countervailing duty orders.
I provide comprehensive representation in customs law and regulations, including classification, valuation, country of origin, tariff preference programs (such as free trade agreements), intellectual property enforcement, penalty proceedings, entry procedures, drawback, cargo security, and foreign customs issues.
My practice focuses on export and import regulation and international business counseling. This includes antidumping and countervailing duty cases, Customs compliance, export controls, international sales contracts, and related litigation. I advise companies across a wide range of industries — including food and agriculture, automotive, aerospace, electronics, software, consumer goods, and telecommunications.
I also assist clients with product origin issues related to government procurement programs, including the Buy American Act, Buy America, the Trade Agreements Act, Foreign Military Financing (FMF), and FTC origin labeling rules.
Additionally, I offer export control guidance to companies of all sizes — from sole proprietors to Fortune 500 corporations — concerning compliance with regulations administered by the Departments of State, Commerce, and Treasury, as well as enforcement by U.S. Customs.
